Buy USDT by card into your own wallet: Binance Connect or Banxa

Buy USDT on an exchange and it stays in the exchange's account until you withdraw it. In OB Wallet you can buy by card and have the USDT delivered straight to your own wallet address. This guide walks through it and explains the two providers people ask about most: Binance Connect and Banxa.

What happens when you buy in OB Wallet

OB Wallet does not sell crypto. When you buy, you pick a licensed payment provider from a list of offers and pay on that provider's own page, in your browser. The provider handles the card payment and the identity check (KYC). The crypto goes to your wallet's own address. No card number or identity document ever reaches OB Wallet.

Step by step

  1. Open your daily wallet and tap Buy. Buying lives in the daily wallet only; the cold and company wallets do not buy.
  2. Choose USDT on the network you want it on, for example Tron.
  3. Enter the amount you will pay, in US dollars. The same screen shows, in full, the address the USDT will be delivered to. The provider's page shows that same address: if it shows a different one, close it and do not pay.
  4. Tap See offers. The list shows offers for your country, sorted by how much USDT you receive, the best first. Each amount is the provider's estimate.
  5. Pick an offer. The provider's payment page opens in your browser.
  6. Pay by card on the provider's page and complete its identity check if it asks for one.
  7. The USDT arrives in your wallet. How long that takes depends on the provider and the network.

Which network to buy on

USDT exists on several networks, and they do not mix: USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum are two different things to a wallet. OB Wallet shows each one as its own row, on Tron, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and TON. Buy on the network you will use next: the one the person you pay asks for, or the one your exchange or shop accepts.

Think about the fee of the next transfer, too. On Ethereum it is paid in ETH, on Polygon in POL, on Solana in SOL and on TON in TON. On Tron it is normally paid in TRX, but OB Wallet lets you send USDT on Tron with no TRX by paying its service fee in USDT.

Binance Connect: if you have a Binance account

Binance Connect appears in the list with a note: Needs a Binance account. The purchase goes through your own Binance account, and the USDT is then sent on to your OB Wallet address. If you already have a verified Binance account, you log in on Binance's page and pay by card there.

If you do not have one, you can open a Binance account on the same page. That includes Binance's own identity verification, so it takes longer than a single checkout, and Binance decides how long its review takes.

When we checked in October 2026, Binance Connect quoted amounts from about USD 16. The minimum can differ by country and change at any time; the list only shows offers for amounts a provider will take.

Banxa: no Binance account needed

Banxa sells crypto by card on its own page: you give an email address, confirm a code, enter your card and complete Banxa's identity check. No Binance account is involved. When we checked in October 2026, Banxa quoted amounts from about USD 10.

Which one should you choose?

  • You have a verified Binance account: Binance Connect can be the quickest, because Binance has already checked your identity.
  • You have no Binance account, or do not want one: choose Banxa, or another provider in the list.
  • Either way, compare what you receive. The list is sorted by it, and the provider's own page shows the exact rate and fees before you pay.

Offers depend on your country, the amount and the network, and not every provider serves every country. If nobody is quoting your amount, try a different one. Nothing is charged until you pay on the provider's page.

Good to know

  • The rate, the fees and the identity check are the provider's, and are shown on its page. Card purchases are carried out by the providers under their own terms.
  • Some banks decline card payments for crypto. If yours does, try another card or another provider.
  • No provider ever needs your recovery phrase. Never type it into a website or a support chat.
  • To move the USDT on to your cold wallet, send it from your daily wallet. On Tron you can do that without TRX: see how to send USDT on Tron without TRX.
  • Already holding crypto on Binance? You do not need to buy again: move it to your own wallet.
