Is someone pretending to be the people you pay?

Scammers plant addresses in your history that start and end like the ones you pay. Paste your address and see if it has happened to you.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.

How the trick works

  1. You pay someone. A bot sees the payment on the public blockchain.

  2. It creates a look-alike address with the same first and last characters, and sends you a tiny or zero transfer from it.

  3. Now it sits in your history. Next time you copy "the same" address from there, you pay the scammer.

How to protect yourself

  • Copy addresses from their source, never from your history.
  • Check the middle of an address, not only the start and the end.
  • Send a small test amount to a new address first.
  • Use a wallet that hides fake transfers and warns you about look-alikes.

OB Wallet does this for you, every time
